You can wind a coil like this yourself — getting the turns to lie evenly is the whole of the difficulty. We wind ours by hand, test every device before it ships, and put the coil, an audio-frequency generator and a field tester in the box. The build is open: the winding is visible, the terminals are exposed, and the device can be taken apart and repeated.

Every coil is wound by hand: enamelled copper, an even pattern, no machine winding. Small batches only.

Under 500 g. Runs from a phone, a laptop or the AWT generator. Fits in a backpack.

24-month warranty on electronics and winding. We repair and rewind our own devices — write to us.
Practical applications
Home Experiments
Connect to a phone or laptop, pick the frequency in a tone-generator app, set the timer to 15/30/60 minutes. A 60-page manual comes with the device.
Labs and Workshops
An open build: the winding is visible, the terminals are exposed, and you can measure the field with your own instruments. We wind custom coils to a different pitch or diameter on request.
Teaching and Demos
A hands-on rig for physics lessons: you can see how the field changes with frequency and with the winding pattern. A field tester is included.
